I am a fashion design graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, who has been working professionally in the NYC Fashion industry for over 15 years. Throughout my education, and career I have gained many skills that have allowed me to refine my creativity, through design, marketing, and brand development. I have been designing for companies since 2011 in New York City, and most recently have been recruited to create a new California lifestyle sportswear line named Laguna.

As Design Director for Laguna Sportswear and Swimwear, I have been in charge of re-inventing an already established brand with a new logo, aesthetic, design direction, line building and collection design. I oversee all aspects of trend, design, and line development, including fabrics, prints, graphics, and trims. All this is achieved with the help and by managing a small team of graphic designers, fashion designers, product development and production teams.

I started my career in the industry after moving to New York City in the spring of 2011. After interning with Parke & Ronen, a men's label specializing in swimwear, I eventually began helping with collection development. Responsibilities included sourcing fabrics, trims, flat sketching fittings, sample assembly and production of goods. for their collections of shirts, pants, and swim suits. Soon after, I helped design, and develop a small men’s clothing line named PROPER GANG. The line consisted of men’s woven shirts, trousers, and jackets which were all sampled and produced here in New York City and eventually sold exclusively at Opening Ceremony.

After seeking other opportunities in the industry, I was recruited to start working for a luxury startup line of women’s and men’s footwear and accessories at COBRA SOCIETY, I was responsible for the company's graphic designs which included website layout, banners, mailers, mailer graphics, and lookbook design. Soon after, I began assisting the creative director with designing her collection of luxury boots, loafer and handbags. I oversaw and assisted in the development of these collections with hand drawn sketches, flats, sourcing, and final sample production. These products were all designed here in New York City, and manufactured in Spain, where I gained experience dealing with factories and suppliers overseas as well as handling the obstacles that come with the territory. The company's use of hardware and extreme attention to detail were not only inspiring, but also allowed me to refine my own aesthetic while helping design these beautiful creations.

Having worked with menswear, footwear and leather goods I know I can be a great addition to any creative team in this industry. I pride myself in delivering a level of work that is always detailed, original, and innovative.
